This disease is a rare, genetic, and life-threatening condition caused by the absence of dystrophin, a protein essential for muscle strength. Children with DMD gradually lose the ability to walk, lift their arms, breathe independently, and eventually do not survive without medical intervention.
Yousif is an intelligent and deeply determined 9 year old boy who dreams of living a normal childhood. Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a rare, genetic, life-threatening condition caused by the absence of dystrophin, a protein essential for muscle strength.
