A reminder from the Qur’an 

Allah (swt) says in the Qur’an: 

“Allah fulfilled His promise to you when you were defeating them by His permission, until you lost courage and disagreed about the command.” 

Surah Al-e-Imran, Ayah 152

The early success of the Muslims  

Following the Muslims’ victory at the Battle of Badr, the Quraysh gathered a large army to seek revenge. 

The Prophet Muhammad (saww) led the Muslim community to defend Madinah near Mount Uhud. 

At the beginning of the battle, the Muslims successfully pushed back the opposing forces. 

A turning point in the battle 

Before the battle began, the Prophet (saww) instructed a group of archers to remain on a hill and guard the army from behind. 

However, when the Quraysh forces began retreating, some archers left their positions. 

This allowed the enemy to launch a surprise attack that shifted the momentum of the battle. 

Courage in the face of hardship  

Despite being injured, the Prophet Muhammad (saww) remained steadfast. 

His companions protected him and stood firmly beside him during the most difficult moments. 

Their courage ensured that the Muslim community survived and learned valuable lessons.
